A Drive in the Country

Yesterday my daughter and I drove to Toowoomba (1 1/2 hours) to visit my BF and her family. Most of the day was spent sitting in waiting rooms in the hospital reading my book while BF was with her Mum. Her Mum didn't want visitors so I didn't actually see her, but I understand how she feels and why she feels that way. I was happy just to visit with my friend and her sister and Dad when they got a chance to come out and talk.
Watching someone you love go through this horrendous experience makes you realise that when cancer strikes a family member down it is not just that person who suffers. Everyone who loves them suffers deeply. Cancer doesn't strike a person it strikes a family.
