Today I am having one of those rock bottom lows. You know, the ones when you want to stay in bed all day and cry under the blankets. So what can I do to try and help me get through this day and make myself feel better? I am going to write down 5 things I am grateful for.
- I am grateful that my husband and children are alive and healthy and all reasonably happy despite current life difficulties.
- I am grateful that I have a husband to lean on, who understands when I am in a bitchy mood and during this time is not taking it personally. I am grateful for his lessons to us all about the importance of loyalty.
- I am grateful for my children, their support, their understanding that Mum is not the same as she used to be and their hope that she will return to normal one day.
- I am grateful for my best friend, Sheree. She doesn't get me out of bed but she keeps me out. Her support during the last few months is immeasurable and I will be eternally grateful for everything she has done and continues to do.
- Last but not least, I am grateful for a father that I loved and adored, a man who taught me many life lessons, some good and some bad, a man who taught me the value of a family who loves you, and most of all for the love he gave me and how special that love made me feel.
