I Am Grateful

Today I am having one of those rock bottom lows. You know, the ones when you want to stay in bed all day and cry under the blankets. So what can I do to try and help me get through this day and make myself feel better? I am going to write down 5 things I am grateful for.
  1. I am grateful that my husband and children are alive and healthy and all reasonably happy despite current life difficulties.
  2. I am grateful that I have a husband to lean on, who understands when I am in a bitchy mood and during this time is not taking it personally. I am grateful for his lessons to us all about the importance of loyalty.
  3. I am grateful for my children, their support, their understanding that Mum is not the same as she used to be and their hope that she will return to normal one day.
  4. I am grateful for my best friend, Sheree. She doesn't get me out of bed but she keeps me out. Her support during the last few months is immeasurable and I will be eternally grateful for everything she has done and continues to do.
  5. Last but not least, I am grateful for a father that I loved and adored, a man who taught me many life lessons, some good and some bad, a man who taught me the value of a family who loves you, and most of all for the love he gave me and how special that love made me feel.
